This set of photographs show construction scenes at the new Kansas Museum of History in Topeka, Kansas. Construction began in the fall of 1981 on the 80-acre site in west Topeka near the Potawatomi Mission. Completed in 1984 the museum moved their collections from the Memorial Building in downtown Topeka to their present location at 6425 SW 6th Avenue. In 1995, the State Archives and Library along with the Archeology Division moved into a new building next to the museum.
