Oral history interview with Richard and Frances Ridley covering their role and impressions of the Brown v. Board case. Richard was born in Topeka in 1929 and attended Monroe Elementary School then pursued higher education at the Univeristy of North Carolina and the University of Colorado. Richard was in law school when the Brown v Board of Education decision was announced, and personally knew some of the attorneys involved in the case. Frances went to school in Holdrege, Nebraska, where her family was the only African Americans in the town. The two were married in 1952 and had four children.
