Letters to Kansas Governor St. John in relation to a vacancy in the office of County Surveyor for Riley County, Kansas. There are letters of endorsement and petitions from individuals supporting the appointment of certain people as County Surveyor. There are a few letters that inform the Governor that the present Riley County Surveyor, James Lee, has failed to qualify or give bonds.
