A studio portrait of two Kanza Indian children who were great grandchildren of Chief Allegawaho (Al-le-ga-wa-ho). Donated to the Kansas Historical Society in 1955, the photo identifies the children as Alice Pappan (standing) and Maudie McCauley (sitting), both born in 1904. In 2022, descendants identified the girls as Grace McCauley (standing) and Maude McCauley (seated). The photo was likely taken around 1911.
