This photograph shows a Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe dynamometer test car with the chronograph recording table and instrument panel with operator at the test and a operator at the window "punching" mile posts and other locations which serve as references on the record. The primary measuring equipment in the car is the drawbar pull instrumentation. W.H. Clark, research engineer electrical, is at the recording table, and Glenn A. Peters, test engineer, at window. Other information recorded is locomotive throttle position, transition, dynamic braking, speed, time, car, travel, locations, air brake information.
