This is a political card encouraging voters to elect John Carlin to the 92nd District for the Kansas House of Representatives. The back of the card lists his qualifications. Carlin is not successful in this bid. However, Carlin was elected to the House of Representatives in 1970 and served from 1971 to 1979. In addition, Carlin also served as Speaker of the Kansas House from 1977 to 1979. He was elected as the 40th Governor of Kansas in 1979 and served two consecutive terms, 1979-1987.
