This photograph shows Pete Loux and John Carlin looking over paperwork in the chambers of the Kansas House of Representatives in Topeka, Kansas. Loux, a Democratic from Wichita, Kansas was the first CPA elected to the state legislature. He served in the Kansas House of Representatives from 1965 to 1975 and seven years as minority leader. Loux's committee assignments included Committees on Assessment and Taxation, Insurance, Ways and Means and Calendar and Printing.
