This set of photographs show Clarence M. Whitlow, an employee of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway Company and band director, from 1924-1988, of the Topeka Santa Fe Band in Topeka, Kansas. In 1924 he reorganized the amateur group of railroad musicians know as the "Apprentice Band". As the group of musicians grew in membership, their name was later changed to the Topeka Santa Fe Band.
