This is a view of spectators and flood waters from Third Street looking east on Poyntz Avenue in Manhattan, Kansas. The Blue River bridge is visible at the far end of Poyntz Avenue. Also visible are horse-drawn carriages and wagons, a streetlight suspended above the intersection, utility poles and power lines, and the buildings and businesses along the city street.
