This file contains two fragments from a petition circulated for temporary County Seat to be in Hill-City. Also included are two letters from the Notary Public for Graham County, one stating that J. W. Canon under oath says that he recognizes the fragments to be part of a petition that was circulated by J. R. McCown. The second letter states that C. H. Jackson under oath says the he also recognizes the fragments to be part of the petition circulated by J. R. McCown and turned over to J. W. Canon to be kept and sent to the Governor.
