These letters, spanning 1885 to 1887, are from livestock companies, government offices, and other individuals regarding the Livestock Sanitary Commission to Kansas Governor John Martin. The letters discuss the resignation of predecessors and the recommendation of successors to the commission. Those recommended were John T. White, A. H. Lackey, Edward Haren, William G. Harris, and J. W. Hamilton.
