A telegraph on January 6, 1879, from L. T. Tuthill, states he will have a car ready for Captain Brown's company on the Sunday train as requested. A letter on December 31, 1878, from Captain Willis Brown thanks Governor Anthony for the invitation and states that uniforms have been ordered. A letter on December 27, 1878, from Edmund Boltwood, accepts Kansas Governor Anthony's invitation to attend the Inaugural Ceremony in Topeka. A letter on December 26, 1878, from A. Campbell, informs the Governor the invitation to the inauguration was received and asks about getting passes for two of the men's wives. Additional documents concern similar matters related to the Inaugural Ceremony held in Topeka, Kansas on January 13, 1879.
