This is a color transparency showing the Frontiersman and Conquistadors murals on the second floor of the capitol building in Topeka, Kansas. The murals were painted by John Steuart Curry. The Conquistadors mural shows Francisco Vasquez de Coronado, a Spanish explorer, and Father Juan de Padilla, the first Christian martyr in the United States. The Frontiersman mural shows a buffalo hunter.
