Kansas Supreme Court case number 24.729, the State of Kansas vs Knights of the Klu Klux Klan. In the case, the State of Kansas as the plaintiff, represented by Charles B. Griffith, attempted to stop the Ku Klux Klan from operating in Kansas. The State of Kansas claimed the Klan was a foreign corporation doing business in the state without permission under Kansas foreign corporation laws and was therefore breaking state law.
