This photograph shows members of the National Soldier's Home fife and drum corps of Leavenworth, Kansas. All are members of Grand Army of the Republic, Custer Post No. 6, Leavenworth. The photo was taken in August 1914, in Salina, Kansas. The National Soldier's Home at Leavenworth, Kansas, was established in 1885 on the west bank of the Missouri River in Leavenworth County.
