Signed on August 27, 1928, the Kellogg-Briand Pact was authored by U.S. Secretary of State Frank B. Kellogg and French Foreign Minister Aristide Briand. Designed to end the possibilty of another large-scale international war, the Kellogg-Briand Pact was signed by most of the world powers of the time.
